Taiwan XXVIII: Taipei at Night
Taipei 101 and Taipei city in all its glory. This is one of the most difficult-to-obtain shots in Taiwan as we encountered numerous obstacles. The first cab driver didn't know the location of Xiangshan (象山) where this was taken. The second cab driver wasn't sure and we made a few false turns. The climb up (via steps) was extremely steep and the path was abysmally lit. The shot was finally accomplished by climbing up onto a rock and balancing the tripod precariously on it.. phew.
Long exposure panorama taken at a secret spot recommended by John (our Taiwan friend). There are some minor flaws in this photo due to the strong winds at the location, so please overlook them. =P
Another shot of Taipei city lights.
Ximending (西门丁), one of the better-known shopping districts in Taipei.
Crowded even though it was past 10pm.
That concludes my series of Taiwan photos! My Flickr Pro account is expiring in a few days and my finals are looming, so I'll be taking a break from this blog. Gonna fly to Africa after my exams! Stay tuned for more photos till then!
